Duties include hiring, training, and scheduling Food Workers, performing quality control on food leaving the kitchen, and ordering inventory to keep up with demand.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for a variety of managerial tasks, common duties include:

- Managing inventory including ordering, checking in weekly orders, and supplementing orders as needed from area suppliers so that all necessary ingredients are stocked for service
- Assists in hiring and training new staff and providing training to facilitate quick acclimation
- Posts Duties/Service Areas (daily, weekly, monthly)
- Streamlining the kitchen processes to maintain prompt service times for timely delivery at each site
- Working with the Site Manager to develop and maintain the menu and levels of service
- Setting regular cleaning standards for the kitchen and verifying that staff is maintaining sanitation levels
- Creating schedules for all kitchen staff
- Tracking kitchen finances to identify areas of potential waste and opportunities to increase potential income
- Provide Site Manager with lunch counts per site per week
- Submits WAT client timesheets and all invoices in a timely manner to accounting department
- Acts as a liaison for Polara Health and catering companies concerning use of the kitchens at each site contracted
- Ensures all food and safety standards are upheld, enforcing AZ Dept. of Health standards including Food Handler certification for staff.
- Provide supervision and training to WAT clients as needed in the absence of a Vocational Specialist
- Expand and develop the WAT and all program facets concerning production, utilizing participants to make lunches and deliver lunches
- Develop market and expand staff lunch program to Prescott, Prescott Valley, and Chino Valley sites
- Keep inventory and supplies readily available for the Hot Meals Program and replenish supplies daily/weekly at each site.
- Prepare breakfasts and lunches for New Employee Orientation, including delivery and set-up using staff or the WAT Program
- Create and develop catering opportunities within Polara Health (Board meetings, committee meetings, site meetings) including menu diversity and selections
- 21 years of age or older; or minimum 18 years old and licensed or certified under A.R.S. Title 32 and providing services within the personnel member’s scope of practice; or minimum 18 years old for select administrative positions
- Must be able to provide or obtain an AZDPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Must possess a valid Driver License
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED required
- Food Handler Certification required (training provided by Polara Health)
- Food Service experience required; Food Service Management experience preferred
