**The Why**:
Consumer Legal Group just celebrated its two-year anniversary. Our business is steadily growing and we have expanded our footprint with our new subsidiary, the Tenant Counsel Network (TCN). TCN represents commercial and residential tenants facing eviction or whom are otherwise involved in landlord tenant disputes. This new platform has grown exponentially in the last four months. We are interested in growing further and seek to hire dynamic litigators looking to make a real difference in the lives of our clients. We are seeking attorneys with at least two to five years of experience, and one year of litigation experience in the landlord and tenant discipline to contribute to the continued expansion and success of our current team.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct thorough legal research on various topics, including case law, statutes, and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including contracts, briefs, pleadings, and agreements. Ensure accuracy, proper formatting, and adherence to legal guidelines.
- Assist and collaborate with senior attorneys in all aspects of trial preparation, discovery, including organizing case files, researching relevant case precedents, and drafting trial-related documents.
- Attend court hearings, trials, and depositions.
- Communicate with clients to gather necessary information, provide updates on case progress, and address any of their questions or concerns. Maintain professional and confidential client relationships.
- Assist senior attorneys in managing caseloads, including organizing and maintaining case files, tracking deadlines, and managing document databases.
- Stay up to date with changes in laws, regulations, and legal precedents relevant to assigned practice areas. Inform senior attorneys about legal developments that may impact client matters.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other legal professionals to brainstorm strategies, share knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the legal team.
- Assist with other projects as needed.

**Minimum Role Requirements**:

- Must have a law degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to and a member in good standing of the NYS Bar.
- 1-3 years of experience as an attorney and at least one year of litigation experience, preferably in landlord tenant matters but not required.
- Ability to juggle multiple priorities within tight time constraints.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in CRM software and legal billing.
- Strong communication, both verbal and written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Customer service-oriented with a sense of urgency.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills.
- Ability to comfortably navigate Google Suite Programs (Google Docs, Slides, Sheets, & Forms).
- Ability to draft all levels of legal pleadings and documents including motions, settlements, and memoranda of law.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
