**Job Summary**
**Essential Job Duties**
- Respond to requests for information from the media or designate an appropriate spokesperson or information source within OVRO and the DSA 2000 project.
- Write press releases or other media communications to promote the DSA 2000.
- Establish or maintain cooperative relationships with representatives within both scientific and local communities.
- Plan or direct development or communication of programs to maintain favorable public perceptions of the accomplishments, agenda, and environmental responsibility of the DSA 2000.
**Basic Qualifications**
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple priorities with limited supervision.
- Experience working with undergraduate students and with academic extracurricular activities.
- At least one year of experience in STEM education and public outreach, and engagement with under-served communities and within higher education environments.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Astronomy or Education.
**Preferred Qualifications**
- At least 4 years of combined experience in communications and outreach-based positions.
