General Maintenance Associate

Job Overview:
Responsible for maintaining the grounds, parking lot and driveways of the facility. May assist the Facility Maintenance team with general repairs.
Schedule: Sunday-Thursday 1pm to 9:30pm.
Essential Functions:
- Repair building equipment to include plumbing, structures, carpentry, dry and wet fire systems, etc.
- Perform preventative maintenance on building equipment to include inspection, cleaning, lubrications, adjustments, and repairs, etc.
- Perform building modifications to include plumbing, welding, electrical, carpentry, etc.
- Keep accurate records of preventative maintenance and all other work performed
- Perform other tasks as directed by Supervisor
- Communicate with Supervisor daily on changes and problems with building equipment
- Clean work area/warehouse and equipment
Job Requirements:
**Experience**:
- Two (2) years general maintenance experience
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
- Minimum of five (5) years of plumbing experience is required
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience with carpentry, plumbing, electrical trades, and/or related to building maintenance
- Required to have own tools; drills, saws, pliers, screwdrivers, socket sets etc.
- Must be able to work flexible hours
Physical Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and to stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently
- Exposed to temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operation and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operation
- Ability to do repetitious arm, wrist and hand movements required for maintenance and service procedures
- Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under the equipment
- Requires manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to work both at ground level and in high places to perform job duties. Ability to operate work related equipment
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
