Tiny Steps Learning Center is seeking dedicated On-Call Teacher Assistants to join our team. We provide a welcoming, safe, and nurturing environment where children can thrive.
**Position Overview**:
The On-Call Teacher Assistant will provide support to Lead Teachers and classroom staff on an as-needed basis. This role involves assisting with daily activities, physical caregiving, and maintaining a positive learning environment. Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with physical caregiving and developmental assessments
- Supporting the curricular plan and classroom activities
- Building supportive relationships with staff, parents, and students
**Qualifications**:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in early childhood education preferred
- Associate Degree in Education or current CDA certification (preferred)
- Strong understanding of child development and educational methods
- Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Bilingual English & Spanish preferred
- Able to lift up to 45 pounds multiple times per day
- Willingness to submit to background checks
- CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen certification or ability to obtain upon hire
- Flexible availability to work on an on-call basis
**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure children’s safety and well-being
- Support curriculum implementation with creativity and innovation
- Serve as a positive role model
- Foster social and emotional development
- Maintain a clean and nurturing environment
- Collaborate with Lead Teachers and other staff
- Assist in creating engaging lesson plans and tracking progress
