Job Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Private Duty Caregiver to provide personalized care to patients in their homes. As a Private Duty Caregiver you will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to patients and their families.
**Duties**:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Provide companionship and emotional support to patients
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and their families on proper self-care techniques
- Coordinate with hospice care providers for end-of-life care, if necessary
- Perform heavy lifting and transferring of patients as required
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely
**Experience**:
- Proven experience in providing patient care in a private duty or home healthcare setting
- Familiarity with various medical conditions and treatments
- Knowledge of medical equipment and devices used in patient care
- Ability to assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members
- Experience working with social workers to address patient's psychosocial needs is a plus
- Previous experience in nursing homes or assisted living facilities is beneficial
**Requirements**:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to patient homes
- Current nursing license in the state of [location]
- CPR certification (BLS)
- Ability to lift heavy objects and assist patients with mobility limitations
We offer competitive pay rates for Private Duty Caregiver based on experience.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
