As a Direct Support Professional (DSP)-Group Home, you'll play a crucial role in providing direct support to individuals, ensuring their safety while promoting community inclusion. Our primary goal is to assist individuals in all aspects of daily home life, fostering independence and meaningful community opportunities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide residential supports and living skills training to individuals, whether at their homes or in the community.
- Assist with daily living skills such as meal preparation, grocery shopping, cleaning, and personal care.
- Collaborate with individuals to develop supports that build upon their strengths and capabilities.
- Maintain a person-centered environment that promotes independence and community inclusion.
- Report any evidence of abuse, neglect, or safety issues immediately and complete incident reports.
- Maintain open communication with coworkers, caregivers, and supervisors.
- Provide skill reinforcement activities in areas such as socialization, communication, and self-determination.
- Follow organization's guidelines for documentation and technology use.

**Skills and Abilities**:

- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to develop positive relationships and provide a supportive environment.
- Basic arithmetic skills for tasks such as budgeting and measurement.
- Ability to respond professionally in emergency situations, including psychiatric and medical emergencies.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid driver’s license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to pass mandatory drug screens and criminal background checks.

**Physical Demands/Work Environment**:

- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Willingness to lift individuals with caution and consideration for safety.

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
