**Position Summary**

The Events Specialist is responsible for coordinating Bluum’s internal and external event portfolio, improving customer, partner, and internal experiences, and maximizing event budgets while minimizing expenses. This role will collaborate with the Sales department to create strategies that will help drive new revenue opportunities from events.

**Responsibilities**
- Coordinate, organize and manage national trade shows of various sizes and all supporting responsibilities. Events will be a mix of in-person or virtual.
- Maintain individual event budgets to support the overall annual marketing event budget. Responsible for maximizing investments while minimizing unnecessary costs and expenses.
- Plan and book event spaces, hotel room blocks, meeting rooms, and other trade shows and internal events.
- Lead planning, logistics, and ordering of all booth services - virtual and/or live
- Coordinate exhibitor badges, maintain and communicate show attendee list, and manage pre-show staff training and staff schedule.
- Serve as the main point of contact during events, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any issues that arise.
- Coordinate inventory of products, literature, supplies, and promotional items for the booth and events, as well as shipping to and from the tradeshow.
- Communicate with vendor partners about necessary planning and logistics for events as needed.
- Manage the event budget and innovate to maximize ROI on event expenses.
- Produce virtual events via various digital platforms.
- Work with marketing managers and external vendors to develop event marketing campaigns.
- Become a power user of Exhibit Day for online collaboration and project management.
- Manage, update, and keep the events landing page on the website current.
- Provide additional project management on internal events, as needed.
- Provide additional support to team members as needed.
- Ensure the proper lead generation systems are in place to process leads and opportunities from the events to the CRM system.
- Report on the ROI of events.
- Work with the Manager of Partner Programs & Events to provide recommendations about which events Bluum should attend the following year based on opportunities and revenue booked through these events.
- Work with the Manager of Partner Programs & Events to identify future events that Bluum may want to consider attending.
- Manage credit card reconciliation and recognition.

**Education & Skill Requirements**
- 1-3 years of tradeshow coordination experience (Tech industry a plus)
- Experience with managing projects
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications (e.g. Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); some experience with event management technology tools is preferred.
- Proven communication (verbal and written) and administrative skills
- Budget management experience
- Able to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and best practices to enhance meeting and event quality
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, hospitality management or equivalent work experience
