The Feeding Technician is responsible for data entry, assist with treatment area & tray preparation, assist with caregiver training as directed by SLP/clinical supervisor, assist with clerical and other various daily routine procedures and perform duties necessary for program development and research projects.

**JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES**
- Assists with admission and discharge planning of patients.
- Assign seating arrangements for families on an as need basis
- Provides coverage when Food Prep Technician out of office.
- Assists in training new employees on the duties of the Technician.
- Enters information into data base and assists with preparing graphs for meeting/reports as needed.
- Assists in training caregivers prior to discharge from Feeding Program.
- Assist with completion of outcome forms.
- Participates in team conferences, team meetings, in-services, and department meetings.
- Completes Relias and/or any hospital mandatory training programs by the assigned date.
- Takes soiled dishes/cutlery/oral motor tools from therapy rooms to kitchen for cleaning/sanitizing after each therapy session.
- Sanitizes all toys/equipment used in feeding therapy room and in family lounge as indicated.
- Cleans and organizes feeding therapy room cabinets (i.e., toys) daily.
- Participates in stocking and assists supervisor in ordering materials needed for treatment/kitchen.
- Cooperates and consults with appropriate staff to provide staff education when requested.
- Assists program coordinator/supervisor/BCBA/ Director with daily tasks as needed.

**NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES**

Minimum of 1 year experience in pediatrics/feeding/food services preferred.
