A successful RN who enjoys working with people from diverse backgrounds and doesn’t shy away from honest and caring — yet sometimes difficult — conversations. This position is for you if you’re able to treat others with dignity, compassion, and respect, even in life’s most challenging moments.

**Responsibilities**:
**Your responsibilities in this role may include**:

- Perform initial nursing assessment for clients within 24 hours of admission in accordance with established program policies and state regulation.
- Arrange appropriate appointments with Health Care Providers to secure complete physical examinations, as well as required additional health screenings and supplemental tests.
- Administer medications, as well supervise the self-administered medications, where appropriate and allowed by regulation.
- Maintain adequate inventory of medical supplies and accurate records of same in compliance with governing regulations and agency policy.
- Counsel clients on nutrition, health care, self-care, symptom management etc.
- Ensure that clients have appropriate medical coverage to guarantee safety, adequate care, and provider compliance for payment.
- Ensure proper storage of supplies as required by regulation.
- Assist in the facilitation of special events, including, but not limited to: staff training, staff retreat, workshops and facility events.
- Implement health seminars, including, but not limited to: HIV/AIDS, nutrition, medication education, infectious diseases, mental health, etc.
- Participate in treatment/multidisciplinary team meetings, as directed.
- Implement and assure adherence to infection control policies and practices.
- Provide education for clients regarding health, nutrition, safety, and medication compliance.
- Maintain LPN license with good standing.
- Other related duties as assigned by Nurse Manager or designee.

**Working Conditions**:

- Required to work weekends at least once a month including one off shift per week to ensure to ensure program coverage.- May be required to work shifts outside of assigned shifts during critical staffing shortages.-
- The minimum holiday requirement is 1 major summer holiday (Memorial Day, July 4th, or Labor Day) and 1 major winter Holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s Day (night shift: New Year’s Eve). Other Holidays will be rotated amongst all staff.- This position is deemed essential and will be required to work during inclement weather
- For Gaudenzia sites with multiple programs, you may be required to work in any of the programs based on staffing needs
