Swoon is actively seeking an IT Strategic Sourcing Specialist for a manufacturing client world renowned for their iconic products. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies for IT products and services, including managing the entire sourcing process, from identifying potential suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
MUST HAVE:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5+ years of experience in strategic sourcing & procurement
- 3+ years with telecom and network sourcing & procurement
- Strong negotiation skills
- Clear and concise communication skills
**MUST BE LOCAL TO CHICAGO & open to a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite)
- What will your day-to-day look like?
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and agreements, optimizing costs without compromising quality or service levels
- Facilitate dialogue between IT and Procurement teams to formulate & implement strategies that align with business objectives, sourcing decisions and cost-saving initiatives
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for IT products and services, including software, hardware, telecom and professional services
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value
What's required?
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Information Technology or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in strategic IT sourcing, procurement, or a related field with a focus on software and services
- 3+ years of experience in strategic telecom & network sourcing and procurement
- 6-month contract with potential for extension
- Hybrid schedule; onsite Tues, Weds & Thurs **must be Chicago/Naperville based
**Job Type**: Contract
Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
