**Job Summary**

The prevention specialist promotes and implements community education and prevention efforts pertaining to mental health and substance use to various sectors within Arizona. This position ensures the success of programming while working directly with teens, parents, and educators. This is a grant contracted position and outcomes related to the position must be achieved

**Skills/Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in the field of behavioral health public health or education or an Associate’s Degree and two (2) years of experience coordinating and/or implementing community-based public health programs or a High school diploma or GED and five (5) years of experience coordinating and/or implementing community-based public health programs.
- Proficiency in the following computer programs: Word processing in a Windows environment, Adobe Products, Excel, Access Database and PowerPoint required
- Must be able to display verbal and written communication skills that meet the requirements of the position and needs of funders and community liaisons.
- Current AZ Driver’s License (valid and in good standing).
- Clear 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
