**TRINITY ACUPUNCTURE** is looking for a Temporary Part-time Medical Front Desk Receptionist to cover a maternity leave. The clinic offers holistic healthcare through acupuncture, herbal supplements, dietary and lifestyle recommendations to ensure the utmost care to each patient.
**DESCRIPTION**:
The Front Desk Receptionist will assist with scheduling and supporting the front and back-office teams. The role of this position requires medical clinical knowledge and experience in the front and back-office. Able to foster teamwork through collaboration with front desk staff, clinicians, acupuncturists, and independent contractors.
**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Patient care is a top priority. Ensuring that patients are provided with a warm, friendly, excellent clinical experience from start to finish.
- Help support the scheduling team to schedule patients and optimize clinician’s schedules.
- Assist with billing inquiries, serving as a liaison between patients and remote billing associates.
- Assist patients with questions related to billing and/or insurance.
- Organize and maintain patient accounts and insurance billing summaries.
- Collect payments & maintain accurate daily sales reports.
- Verify insurance coverage and monitor claim processing through an online portal.
- Generate documents, including but not limited to patient correspondence, account statements, office procedures, and other work-related items needed for daily operations.
- Communicating with manager to ensure patients receive an excellent standard of care and the clinic meets key performance targets.
- Able to perform receptionist duties, multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and a strong team player.
- Assist with back-office duties, clean and prep treatment rooms for patients, plus assist clinicians as needed, etc.
- Responsible for assisting with inventory and office supplies to ensure the office is always well stocked.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
**QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE**
- High school or equivalent.
- Must be fluent in English.
- 1-3 years’ experience in a medical office, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Willing to train the right individual.
**OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES**
- Must have experience working in a medical clinic setting. Front and back-office experience is a plus.
- Billing knowledge preferred, familiarity with billing procedures, claim forms, verifications and reimbursement.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, word, excel and other business/office systems, including Practice Management and EMR systems.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to think strategically.
- A professional appearance, demeanor, exceptional mannerisms and strong phone etiquette are essential.
- Obtain strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliable, motivated, professional, positive and pleasant personality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Well organized and obtain problem solving skills.
- Detail oriented, creative, and disciplined.
- Professional and team spirited. Ability to work with a variety of personalities in an effective, professional manner.
