Temple Shalom is a 600 family Reform synagogue in Newton, Massachusetts. We are an inclusive and caring community and deeply value collaboration and teamwork.

In recruiting for our team, we are looking for someone to bring their authentic whole self to work with us to bring meaningful opportunities to our entire community from infants to our founding members.

**Responsibilities**:

- Support all adult learning programs with members of the staff and lay leaders. This includes managing logistics, registration, marketing plans, food and set up.
- Support all family learning programs with members of the staff. This includes managing logistics, registration, marketing plans, food and set up.
- Take on the role of Project Manager (in collaboration with the Learning & Engagement team) for larger congregational initiatives such as High Holy Days, Shabbat B’Yachad, Rothman Scholar, Altshuler Scholar and congregational wide events connected to holidays.
- Be present to support large in-person events along with lay leaders and other staff members.
- Engage with and get to know our families and community.
- Coordinate rental equipment for large events (not Bmitzvah)
- Support Temple Shalom Nursery School summer program at the height of paperwork season - April/May
- Support Families with Young Children (FWYC) programming along with the Director of Early Childhood Engagement including managing logistics, registration, marketing plans, food and set up.
- Be a self starter and a problem solver.
- Collaborate with the staff of Temple Shalom, especially the Learning and Engagement Team and help make sure the vision of learning and engagement is carried out.
- Identify program needs including marketing plan, room set-ups, staffing needs, zoom links if needed and be able to troubleshoot technology issues.
- Help Temple Shalom with its social media presence
- Attend and participate in Programming Staff Meetings and LE Team Meetings

**Skills**:

- Ability to problem solve and think critically
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with Google Suite, Canva, and Customer Relationship Management systems (ShulCloud)
- Attention to detail
- Be incredibly organized, reflective, thoughtful and able to collaborate well with others.

**Compensation**:
$50,000
