**JOB SUMMARY**
**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO**:
- Creates, maintains, and monitors university-wide asset financial records in the Kuali Financial System.
- Monitors fiscal procedures for duplication, efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with required policies and regulations, making modifications as needed.
- Prepares regular asset financial information, including data analysis and reconciliation.
- Assists in developing and managing department/division asset financial reports.
- May supervise the work of staff engaged in financial record-keeping functions; may train staff and assist in selection. Communicates with various departmental staff regarding Inventory Control policies and procedures.
- Prepares reports as appropriate to meet university, state, federal, and department/division requirements.
- Prepares asset-related financial transactions and monitors the purchase of capital assets by university departments.
- Processes capital expenditure transactions and processes all necessary paperwork, following up to resolve problems as they arise.
**MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two to three years of responsible experience in financial record keeping, supervision, and reporting or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Sound knowledge of financial report preparation and fiscal control methods.
- Knowledge of accounting practices and procedures.
- Experience using web-based systems and reporting tools.
- Ability to analyze and modify fiscal procedures.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- Bachelor's degree in accounting and two to four years of related experience.
- Strong analytical, organization, and technical skills.
- Knowledge of Kuali Financial Systems (KFS) and WebFocus.
