The _Assistant Back-of-House Manager_ at the Harvard Club of NYC plays a crucial role in supporting the Back-of-House (BOH) Manager in overseeing the efficient operation of the club's back-of-house activities. The Assistant BOH Manager assists in coordinating various operational aspects and ensures the smooth functioning of the club's facilities and services.

**Responsibilities**:
**Support BOH Manager (20%)**: Assist the BOH Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the back-of-house department, including scheduling, staff supervision, and overall department coordination.

**Staff Supervision (15%)**: Provide support in supervising and training BOH staff members, including kitchen staff, dishwashers, and janitorial staff. Ensure staff compliance with club standards, policies, and safety protocols.

**Inventory Management (15%)**: Assist in managing inventory levels, including food, beverages, supplies, and equipment. Collaborate with the BOH Manager to maintain accurate records, monitor stock levels, and place orders as needed.

**Quality Control (15%)**: Assist in maintaining consistent quality standards for food and beverage preparation, presentation, and service. Work with the BOH Manager to address any quality issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure adherence to recipes and established standards.

**Operational Efficiency (15%)**: Help identify opportunities for process improvement and streamline operational workflows. Collaborate with the BOH Manager to implement strategies that enhance productivity, reduce waste, and optimize efficiency in the back-of-house department.

**Health and Safety Compliance (10%)**: Support the BOH Manager in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Assist in conducting regular inspections, enforcing proper hygiene practices, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment.

**Communication and Collaboration (10%)**: Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between the BOH department and other departments, such as front-of-house, management, and event planning teams. Coordinate activities and address any operational issues or conflicts that may arise.

**Reporting and Documentation (5%)**:Assist in generating reports, maintaining records, and documenting relevant information related to BOH operations. Help analyze data and provide insights to the BOH Manager for decision-making and improvement strategies.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Previous experience in a back-of-house role or relevant position within the hospitality industry.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and procedures.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
