Job Title: Attorney Location: Nashville, TN 37243 - Hybrid Assignment Duration: 8+ Months Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (CST) | 7.5 hours/day Position Overview: Client is seeking experienced Attorneys to support an increase in eligibility appeals within the Legal Review unit. This role ensures timely and compliant legal review of appeals in accordance with Medicaid regulations. Candidates may also support Litigation depending on workload demand. Key Responsibilities: Duty % of Workload Research and review appeals in Tennessee Eligibility Determination System (TEDS) and determine valid factual disputes 25% Acquire and maintain a thorough understanding of Medicaid statutes, policies, and regulations 25% Monitor cases and appeals for compliance with Medicaid requirements 25% Identify issues affecting eligibility decisions and propose corrective actions 25% Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school Active Tennessee law license Excellent writing, communication, and organizational skills Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines Sound judgment and understanding of public policy Ability to collaborate and adapt to shifting priorities Proficient in use of multiple computer systems and applications Preferred Qualifications: Experience with eligibility appeals procedures Prior legal review experience Additional Notes: Hybrid role – in-office/remote schedule determined by client. Contractors may be prohibited from practicing law outside of TennCare during assignment due to conflicts of interest. Must complete Attorney Pre-Screener when requested. No duplicate submissions (will be auto-declined). Candidates may assist in either Legal Review or Litigation based on workload needs.
