You’ll lead core accounting functions including general ledger management, technical accounting, and month-end close processes, while ensuring compliance with SEC reporting standards and ASC 842 lease accounting. Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is essential, as you’ll be optimizing workflows and supporting system enhancements. Job Details Responsibilities: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including: general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity etc. Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements. Coordinate and complete annual audits. Provide recommendations to improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions. Oversee the accurate and timely processing of positive pay transactions. Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts. Ensure compliance with all internal and external reporting requirements, including SEC reporting and ASC 842. Maintain a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. Work closely with team members to educate them about finance and accounting procedures, explore how they can better utilize reports and tools, and increase their financial acumen. Implement, manage, and maintain the D365 system. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365). Experience in SEC reporting and ASC 842. Excellent computer skills; experience in accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite; Access, database, or other system knowledge. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to direct and supervise. Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage well through ambiguity and complexity.
