Base pay range $300,000.00/yr - $450,000.00/yr Connecting Chicago’s leading firms with exceptional Accounting, Finance & Legal professionals A leading law firm in Chicago is seeking a mid to senior level Corporate Associate to join their growing transactional practice. The ideal candidate will have significant experience handling mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and other complex corporate matters. About the Role The position offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated corporate and transactional matters for domestic and international clients across various industries. Associates will play an integral role in managing deals from start to finish, including drafting and negotiating key transaction documents, conducting due diligence, and advising clients on corporate governance and compliance matters. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage components of complex M&A and private equity transactions, from initial structuring through closing. Draft and negotiate purchase agreements, operating agreements, shareholder agreements, and other transactional documents. Conduct and oversee due diligence investigations and manage junior associates and paralegals. Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas (tax, real estate, finance, employment, etc.) to deliver seamless client service. Advise clients on general corporate governance, entity formation, and compliance issues. Qualifications J.D. and admission to the Illinois Bar Corporate transactional experience at a law firm Strong drafting, negotiation, and project management skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workstreams and communicate effectively with clients and colleagues. A proactive, team-oriented mindset and commitment to high-quality client service.
