CBP’s mission is to prevent terrorists and terrorist weapons from entering the United States while facilitating lawful trade and travel. Within CBP, GDIT collaborates with the Office of Finance (OF) to manage financial and accounting processes, including budgeting, accounting, procurement, and asset/property management. GDIT supports the planning, design, configuration/development, testing, implementation, end‑user training, integration, interface development, and program management of CBP’s financial and associated systems.
GDIT is seeking a Solution Architect / Project Manager to support the CBP Financial Systems Modernization (FSMOD) initiative, upgrading CBP’s SAP solution to S/4HANA.
Plan, organize, motivate, and control resources to achieve project goals related to S/4 HANA.
Ensure controlled and coordinated changes to project scope, track progress against plans, and manage variances.
Support solution design and architecture, analysis, and requirement definition to fully understand business and stakeholder needs and develop innovative solutions.
Manage adherence to Enterprise Life Cycle (ELC) and project management standards.
Develop documentation to support ELC requirements and project needs.
Lead both Agile and Waterfall projects.
10+ years of project management experience of mid‑size IT projects (12+ months; $PMP certification is a plus; ability to obtain PMP will be required.
~15+ years of hands‑on implementation of functional technology SAP solutions.
~ Deep understanding of integration points encountered by projects.
~ Experience managing both Agile and Waterfall projects.
~ Experience with SAP ECC and S/4HANA solutions.
~ Public Trust/Other Required: BI Full 6C (T4).
Travel: 10–25% (including travel to Indianapolis and DC).
Telecommuting: Remote.
USA DC Home Office (DCHOME).
