Product Design Director

We are seeking a Group Product Manager to lead our Data, and Migrations initiatives for our Xplor Pay product and contribute to our vision of transforming the payment industry.
As a Product Design Director you will report directly to the Chief Product Officer (CPO) and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our payment solutions through ownership of our product design organisation driving the evolution of embedded payments solutions for vertical SaaS platforms on the Xplor Pay platform.
We are seeking a visionary and innovative Product Design Director to join our team. In this leadership role, you will drive the product design strategy and oversee a talented team of designers to create exceptional user experiences for our cutting-edge products.
Develop and implement product design strategies aligned with business goals and user needs
Oversee the entire design process from concept to launch, ensuring high-quality deliverables
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, and marketing
Conduct user research and analyze market trends to inform design decisions
Present design concepts and strategies to senior leadership and stakeholders
Establish and maintain design standards, guidelines, and best practices
Drive continuous improvement in design processes and methodologies
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies in product design
In this role, you may work remotely as long as you are located within the lower 48 states of the US.
Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field; 7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
~ Proven track record of successful product launches and driving design innovation
~ Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and design thinking methodologies
~ Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD)
~ Strong understanding of UX/UI design best practices and the product development lifecycle
~ Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
~ Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions
~ Experience in conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design solutions
~ Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor design teams, fostering a collaborative work environment
~ Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven design decisions
~ Up-to-date knowledge of market trends and competitive landscape in product design
