Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Cardiac Surgery - Wheat Ridge, CO

About this role:

As a PA or NP in Cardiac Surgery, you'll work with 2 CV Surgeons and one other Advanced Practitioners to provide top-notch care and patient experience. Throughout the day you'll collaborate with patients and teams in both an inpatient and outpatient setting.
  • You would practice at Lutheran Medical Center in Wheat Ridge, CO
  • The schedule would consist of clinic, OR, rounding and call (to be explained by recruiter)
  • Clinic time would be spent helping manage outpatient, inpatient, and surgical responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons in performing procedures during surgery including open hearts, vascular, and thoracic
  • Perform Radial Artery and Saphenous vein harvesting
  • Place and manage invasive lines
  • Facilitate discharge of patients

What you'll bring:

We hire people, not words on paper. But we also expect excellence, which is why we require:
  • Graduate from an accredited Physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
  • Licensed as an NP or PA in the state of CO or able to obtain
  • DEA and full prescriptive authority in CO
  • Minimum of 2 years as a First Assist NP or PA in a CT Surgery setting, required (please, no new graduates)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in endoscopic vein harvesting for bypass procedures, required

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$49.86 - $76.93
