SELF PAY & INSURANCE BILLER / COLLECTIONS

Position Summary: Responsible for client billing and working with clients to obtain payment and assisting them with billing questions. Compiles, processes, submits, and follows up on secondary insurance charges. Responsible for ensuring that all critical tasks are fulfilled on a timely and high-quality basis.

Your Role at SARRC
Communicate with client parents/guardians as needed, displaying compassion and professional demeanor.
Interface with clinical staff as needed to assist in client billing issues resolution.
Work with payers regarding disputed/denied claims, recouped funds and payer non-payment of claims and as necessary generates reconsiderations, appeals, or provides copies of necessary documents to facilitate timely reimbursement of charges.
Maintain HIPAA compliance, Complies fully with all medical records and information privacy regulations, local, state, and federal.
Internal and external correspondence scanning/handling.
Special projects and other duties as assigned.
Who You Are
Minimum High School Diploma or equivalency required.
Strong customer service background.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with people from varied backgrounds both within and outside the organization.
Understanding of healthcare revenue cycle, CPT, HCPC and universal code sets for payer remark and reason codes either through education or experience is desirable.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision to complete tasks efficiently and timely.
Accurate keyboarding skills.
The demonstration of ethical and professional conduct, including the ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).

Salary
Starts at $19/hr
