Description
Permanent position for a Quality Manufacturing Technician to treat medical device surfaces by applying complex wet chemistry.
Utilize aseptic techniques in a small scale production, and conduct in process and final QC testing.
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and cleaning and EHS guidelines.
Perform assays to test the efficacy of antimicrobial surfaces using FTIR, chromatography and other specialized equipment.
Accurately record and interpret assay results production Batch Records, and escalate and document any deviations.
Analyze data using scientific and statistical techniques and prepare reports summarizing findings and insights.
Collaborate with R&D, Biology and Microbiology scientists in company meeting forums.
Maintain process control and take initiatives with continuous improvement.
Manage inventory of raw materials, supplies, reagents, consumables including ordering from suppliers.
Report equipment issues, manage calibrations and preventative maintenance using 3rd party.
Properly dispose of wastes.
Requirements
Associate Degree preferred
Minimum 2 years of laboratory experience.
Experience with GMP and controlled manufacturing processes and basic training in Quality Control.
Problem solving, time management, analytical, and communication skills.
Familiarity with MS Office, basic laboratory mathematics, Excel and Minitab to analyze data using scientific and statistical methods.
Excellent attention to detail to ensure accuracy and reliability of experimental results.
Ability to maintain an organized lab notebook.
Experience with and general understanding of ISO and 21CFR.
