Job Details:
• 7am - 7pm OR 7pm - 7am (3 shifts on/3 shifts off)
• Daily Responsibilities: Seeing patients in NICU; Attending C-Sections, High Risk Deliveries; Must be comfortable with Chest Tube Insertion, Central Lines, Intubations. Will not do Circumcisions; Interprets antenatal/perinatal health history. Assesses gestational age. Performs resuscitation of newborns in delivery room and in Neonatal Units with use of bag and mask, laryngoscopy, endotracheal intubation, cardiac compressions, intravenous access and emergency medications. Performs physical exams and evaluations on infants in the Delivery, Neonatal and Mother-Baby Units. Performs specialized procedures on high-risk infants to include umbilical artery and vein catheterization, endotracheal intubation, suprapubic bladder taps, lumbar puncture, peripheral central venous catheterization, peripheral artery catheterization, needle aspiration of pneumothorax, sepsis work-ups and other procedures following clinical competencies for advanced practice.
• No Call
• Patients per shift: NICU Daily Census 12-14; Delivery estimated 1,200-1,300/Year. The provider attends C Sections and High-Risk Deliveries.
• EMR: Epic
• Credentialing timeframe: 30-60 days
Requirements:
• Active unrestricted HI License
• Active AHA BLS certifications
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification
• Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Certificate
• Vaccination Requirement: Required with Booster
• Board Certified
• Must be able to provide at least 2 supervisory references.
