Summary

As a Market Cook at the Hook & Fork you'll deliver exceptional dining experiences in a unique, semi-outdoor (covered) waterfront kitchen on the scenic Hood Canal. Physical Demands & Work Environment

Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must stand for extended periods, walk, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms. The role also involves stooping, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, and crouching. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision, with sustained visual and mental concentration.
Work Environment. Conditions are those of a semi-covered kitchen environment. It is a semi-controlled environment, and the position experiences variations in temperature, a moderate level of noise, and encounters certain chemicals in the work environment.

Qualifications

1+ years' cooking experience required
Experience with wood-fired, open-flame, or other non-traditional cooking methods strongly preferred
Education in Culinary Arts is a plus
Friday - Sunday work availability is required
Equivalent education, skills, and/or experience necessary to perform the essential functions may be considered

Permits & Certifications

WA Food Worker Card required within 14 days after hire

Pay, Hours & Status

Pay | $19 ~ $26/hr ($17 - $21/hr base plus avg hourly tips)
Hours | Average 30 hours per week (fluctuating schedule)
Status | Seasonal, On-Call (through Summer, 2024)
