Corporate Senior Accountant

The Senior Corporate Accountant will contribute to the monthly closing process through the preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations, coordination of expense review with FP&A in addition to performing other monthly closing functions. In addition, the Senior Corporate Accountant will participate in quarterly and annual external reporting processes, as requested.
This is a hybrid role based out of Indianapolis, with 2-3 days / week in-office.
Responsibilities- Holding responsibility for certain areas of monthly close process including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for various balance sheet accounts..
- Coordinating with FP&A on the analysis of SG&A costs including development of trends and comparison to budgeted/forecasted expenditures.
- Coordinating the monthly EGSI review as part of the monthly close process with FP&A including expense review, accruals, invoice review and shipment information.
- Assist with monthly lease accounting including in lease updates, journal entries for interest, depreciation, and account reconciliations.
- Assist with preparation of monthly, quarterly and year-to-date RMS consolidated balance sheet flux review for senior management and auditors including (accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, and prepaid expenses detail analyses).
- Preparation of quarterly bad debt and credit memo reserve analyses across all RMS legal entities, including coordinating with Shared Services on customer collection issues.
- Assisting in the process of intercompany charges (management fees, insurance, royalties, interest, etc.) and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Assisting with auditor requests and supporting documentation for quarterly review and annual audit.
- Driving process improvement via the review, maintenance and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
- Completing and/or assist with ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of US GAAP.
- Expertise in Excel, Proficiency in all other MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
- CPA, or ability to obtain.
- Experience in an integrated accounting system - JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics 365, etc.
*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range will adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.
