DescriptionThis position is responsible for the effective maintenance and ongoing management of the HRIS/Payroll System, UKG (formerly UltiPro). This includes maintaining the systems for any 3rd party vendors that integrate with our HRIS. In addition, this position is also responsible for reporting needs both HR and business, HR analytics and day to day system troubleshooting and compliance.
This position is responsible for serving as the functional expert for the organization's HRIS and provide outstanding support to ensure data integrity and accuracy for all HRIS transactions, procedures, , and processes. The HRIS Specialist will partner with HR business partners and Payroll to collaborate on projects and daily priorities including but not limited to organization/position management, employee onboarding, system benefits administration and dashboard/analytics.

ResponsibilitiesEssential Functions:
HRIS
- Serves as company liaison and system administrator to UKG
- Act as Security Administrator responsible for all phases of system security including user/role updates, password resets and role review audits
- Liaison with third party consultant on UKG configuration, integration, updates and upgrades;
- Work with third party consultants to evaluate, test, and implement HRIS system enhancements, upgrades and troubleshooting
- Weekly audit on data changes to ensure data alignment within HRIS, payroll and legal requirements
- Identify, understand, and communicate all UKG updates, events, problems and solutions to HR/Payroll Dept.
- Offer support with Time Management needs such as PTO balances, accruals, reporting
- Develop system tutorials, job aids and/or train users upon request
- Act as lead/coordinator for any system change projects; mapping needs
REPORTING AND ANALYTICS
- Maintains monthly metrics for HR dashboard and works with HR business partners to continue to develop dashboard metrics as the needs of the organization develop
- Assist in building reporting needs for HR and other business units
- Ensure company compliance with ACA reporting, EEO, company audits and other laws and mandates that arise
BENEFITS TECHNICAL SUPPORT
- Lead open enrollment through UKG Benefits portal; online session development, file feed management, plan and rate updates
- Responsible for transmission/file feeds of biweekly 401k contribution, reconciliation and participant files
- Works with users to support functionality and troubleshoot system-related problems
- Carry out other duties as appropriate and as assigned by his/her Manager
- Preferred BA/BS degree in Human Resources or related degree, or equivalent in experience
- 5-7 years related professional experience in a similar role
- Advanced Microsoft Excel user (pivot tables, if then, comparison)
- Experience with UKG (formerly known as UltiPro), preferred
- Experience developing and/or supporting advanced HR metrics/analytics
- Must thrive in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and provide the necessary attention to the details required in HRIS administration and Payroll support
- Must be able to independently prioritize assignments based on urgency and communicate timelines effectively
- Must be able to handle highly sensitive data with confidentiality
- Strong time and project management skills
- Strong customer service mindset
