Overview
Indiana University Health Physicians is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Orthopedic Oncology team. The RN is an integral part of the orthopedic team working alongside surgeons and advanced practice providers to ensure high quality of care to adult and pediatric patients presenting with a variety of illnesses and injuries affecting the musculoskeletal system. Job Responsibilities:
Must be able to function in a fast paced environment, demonstrating the ability to multitask and support various providers
Work collaboratively with staff to ensure the environment is optimal for patient care
Preparation of clinical charts
Manage and triage messages
Assist with preparation of prescriptions
Perform a variety of office based procedures including suture removal, wound checks, and splinting
Educate patients and families on conditions and specifics of treatment plan
Initiate surgery scheduling and prior authorizations
Schedule:
Full Time Day Shift
Monday – Friday
No Holidays
No Weekends

Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Requires current state of Indiana license as Registered Nurse.
Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
