Job Summary and QualificationsWhat will you do in this role:
Gives direct patient care based on knowledge of principles and practice of licensed practical nurse.
Assists in patient education, rehabilitation, and maintenance of health
Observes, records, and reports to the registered nurse the patient’s symptoms, reactions and progress
Participates in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the age-related and problem-specific needs of each patient
Assumes duties of medication nurse capably and with full knowledge of actions and untoward effects of medication being dispensed.
Collaborates with the treatment team to revise goals, objectives and interventions appropriate to the changes in patient status.
Assists patients with all activities of daily living including but not limited to the bathing, positioning, range of motion, eliminating and ambulation
Functions as preceptor for new employees and students
- Current State of Indiana LPN license or active Compact State LPN license
BLS Certification required. Crisis Prevention Certification training completion within 6 months of hire
Demonstrated proficiency in basic nursing skills including phlebotomy.
- Prior hospital experience preferred.
