Job Summary

Works independently and under the direction of in-house employment attorneys through all phases of employment claims—from attorney letters to charges of discrimination to litigation. This paralegal position will have a wide variety of responsibilities including: drafting, issuing, and maintaining legal hold notices; conducting investigations of employee legal claims; drafting responses to governmental agencies and attorney letters; and supporting attorneys in the defense of lawsuits. In addition, this paralegal position will work directly with outside counsel, company departments, and outside vendors on all aspects of discovery, including the collection and production of electronic data. Excellent analytical and writing skills required.

Education & Experience

· 3 years of relevant experience or a law degree

· Associate degree, paralegal certificate, or 6 years of experience as a paralegal

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors:

Strong organizational and communication skills (oral and written)

· Demonstrated ability to do legal research

· Proven ability to simultaneously manage a high volume/variety of matters

· Ability to work effectively with clients

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
