Main Accountabilities
  • Responsible for SOP training for all new drivers and re-training of drivers
  • Responsible for updating and maintaining all driver files
  • Processing of all Port Authority/Customs identifications
  • Ensure all State inspections, registrations and Insurance ID’s for trucks are current
  • Responsible for ensuring all drivers adhere to A-1 Inspection procedures
  • Assist the Ramp Safety Supervisor as needed and perform other clerical duties as assigned
  • Physical demands include heavy lifting (50+ lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and other computer applications
  • Must have open availability to work weekends and holidays as operations require
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Strong analytical, verbal, written, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment with large groups – must be flexible
  • Safety/ramp experience is a plus, not required
  • Bilingual a plus (English/Spanish), not required
  •  

Environmental Requirements:

  • Exposure to temperature changes (hot & cold) may occur during work shifts
  • Physical demands include heavy lifting (50+ lbs.), standing for extended periods, bending, and moving intermittently during shifts of 8+ hours
  • Required to drive and operate heavy equipment
