Job Summary

The Paralegal - Contracts & Compliance will manage a complex national account and commercial account contracts process, as well as the request for proposal (RFP) process that includes working with attorneys, internal and external business personnel. They will also assist with Uniform Commercial Code (UCC) filing and maintenance; vehicle title tracking to ensure the company is recorded as a lienholder on financed vehicles; and assist with the annual update to the U.S. and Canadian franchise disclosure documents.

You will

  • Management of National Account, Commercial Account, RFP and non-disclosure agreement (“NDA”) contracts, including scheduling and attending meetings, preparing meeting minutes, managing contract negotiation and contract revision process, redline edits, weekly status reports, monthly and quarterly reports.
  • Assist with other types of contracts and respond to requests for non-disclosure (“NDA”) agreements.
  • Administer and serve as a point of contact for the contract management database.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the contract management database for each agreement submitted to the Legal Department for review.
  • Provide weekly status reports to the Deputy General Counsel, Associate General Counsel and Operations Manager.
  • Maintain all Servpro form agreements and checklists for National/Commercial Accounts, RFPs and revise as requested by the Chief Legal Officer, Deputy General Counsel or Associate General Counsel.
  • Manage Uniform Commercial Code (“UCC”) filings, including renewals and/or modifications and terminations.
  • Assist with the annual review and update process for the U.S. and Canada Franchise Disclosure Documents
  • Perform administrative and customer service support for assigned tasks and goals.
  • Complete special projects as assigned, within the required timeframe.
  • Handle general department administrative duties, including answering calls and emails from internal and external clients or customers.

You have

  • High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years of college, including Paralegal Certification.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ paralegal/contract and office/administrative experience.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 60 words per minute.
  • Experience with electronic legal research tools preferred.
  • Ability to manage a major contract process involving core clients, several internal departments and tight deadlines.
  • Ability to understand general contract terms and conditions.
  • Proficient written and presentation skills, basic math, decision-making ability, administrative/organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work in a fast- paced environment.
