About the Role

Sagemont Preparatory School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Full-Time School Bus Driver to join our team. Our Bus Drivers play a crucial role in the communities we serve, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of our students. We are looking for individuals who are committed to safety, exceptional customer service, and possess a genuine, caring attitude towards children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport students and other authorized persons safely to and from school; on field, extracurricular, special, and/or activity trips as authorized by the immediate supervisor.
• Operate school buses under all types of weather conditions.
• Maintain control of student passengers as related to safety.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions which require the attention of any person other than the driver.
• Complete forms, records, and reports as required by law and School policies.
• Operate the school bus in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida and policies promulgated by the Head of School.
• Perform required operational and safety inspections of the school bus and all related equipment.

What We’re Looking For:

• High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED). Each school bus operator shall have a minimum of five years of licensed driving experience (Class E License) or hold a Commercial Driver License (CDL) Class A or B CDL with a Passenger endorsement.
• Experience working with students and communication with parents and school officials.
• Good attendance record and verbal communication skills.
• Must be at least 21 years of age and have a flexible work schedule.
