FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 0.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $19.67 - $25.57 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

Summary:Manages, selects and prepares equipment for inpatient operating room surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Follows surgical schedule, completes conflict checks, provides tracking and preparation of equipment, and maintains record of inventory and repairs. Reports equipment issues to charge nurse and Service Specialists.
  • Resolves issues involving OR equipment. Locates and provides additional equipment as needed. Tracks gaps in equipment availability and works with management to determine needs.
  • Organizes the equipment and positioning room, stores unused equipment, and cleans equipment after use. Assists in cleaning operating rooms as needed.
  • Educates staff on equipment locations and identification.
  • Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.


Requirements:
  • Minimum Required Education: High School diploma or GED. Preferred: Associate's Degree in Surgical Technology.
  • Required Licensure/Certification: None required. Preferred: Certified as a Surgical Technologist (CST).
  • Minimum Experience: None required.
