Job Description:Responsible to provide administrative oversight to the pharmacy managers across the ambulatory pharmacies to achieve consistency and brand standardization. Also manages operations within fiscal requirements while ensuring efficient operations to meet the needs of the patients and medical providers in the delivery of consistent, high quality pharmacy services.

FLEXIBLE LOCATIONS: We are seeking candidates who are currently within or would relocate to the Essentia Health service area. Ideal locations include, but are not limited to, Duluth, MN; Brainerd, MN; and other communities within Minnesota and North-Western Wisconsin.

Education Qualifications:

Work Experience:

Graduate Degree or a Minimum of three years’ experience as a Pharmacist in Charge or Supervising Pharmacist

A Doctorate or Bachelor degree in pharmacy from a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education. Demonstrated leadership in pharmacy services.

Licensure/Certification Qualifications:

Acute / Ambulatory:

If not licensed as a Registered Pharmacist upon hire, the candidate must have a Pharmacy Intern License and/or is eligible to work as an intern and must become a Registered Pharmacist within 90 days of hire:

  • Minnesota: Must be licensed as a Pharmacy Intern through the Minnesota Board of Pharmacy
  • Wisconsin: In the final months of a Pharmacy program. No registration required
  • North Dakota: Must be registered as a Pharmacy Intern through the North Dakota Board of Pharmacy

  • Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state's Board of Pharmacy.


Ambulatory:

  • Licensed as a registered pharmacist by the Minnesota and Wisconsin Boards of Pharmacy. Basic Life Support (BLS) certified within 90 days from hire date. Immunization Delivery Certification completed within 1 year from hire date
