**This is a daily onsite position at our Sierra Vista office location.**

HOW A SYSTEMS TECHNICIAN II WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Providing installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware
  • Working closely with GDIT employees to ensure IT tickets are responded to, and resolved, in a timely manner.
  • Monitoring and responding to hardware and software problems with a variety of testing tools and techniques.
  • Providing onsite support for other technical and organizational groups including hands-on/eyes-on assistance for remote teams
  • Offering technical support and training to end-users
  • Expanding current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Maintaining systems for conference rooms and associated AV components
  • Participating in special projects as required
  • Vendor escorting and on call support as needed


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • High School Diploma and 1+ year of related work experience supporting end-user computing.
  • Strong written and oral communication and excellent customer service skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems, and common applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).
  • Experience with desktops, laptops, mobile devices (iOS, Android), and application support
  • Solid understanding of basic networking principles
  • Operational knowledge of the following is a plus: Active Directory, Group Policy, SharePoint, and Microsoft System Center products.
  • May occasionally require moving materials weighing up to 50 lbs and positioning oneself to install equipment, including under desks or tight spaces.
  • Location: requires being onsite daily in the Sierra Vista office location

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $21.97 - $25.30. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
