Position Summary To produce quality products using machining skills. Principal Activities Be able to operate hoist-operated cranes and other lifting equipment. Be able to follow verbal and written instructions; read and work to drawings, setup cards, charts and tables with or without job tag instructions. Select all types of cutting tools suitable work working on all kinds of materials and on all types of cuts; properly grind cutting tools. Job Requirements:CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Knowledge Skills & Abilities Use of mathematics together with the use of complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables; various types of precision measuring instruments. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to define routine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret basic technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form. Ability to read and understand blueprints. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The associate is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. The associate may, in rare occasions lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required. CNC, HMC, Lathe, Grinding machining experience preferred
