Lead Production Associate, Carrollton TX

Starting pay: $23.98 plus a $1.00 shift differential

(You will receive an increase every 6 months until you reach the target pay of $27.37)

Shift: Evening (2nd) 2:00pm - 10:15pm

Training will be conducted on first shift for approximately 3 months. (Mon-Fri with the possibility of OT on Saturday from 6:00am - 2:15pm.

As a Lead Production Associate you will be a crucial part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is available to our customers when they need them. Your work will directly affect people's lives

Primary Responsibilities
Perform as a working lead directing the department under the guidance of the Supervisor.Safety - Lead and train department ensuring all EHS requirements are met and adherence to safe work practices by all employees.Ensure 5S tasks are completed daily for department. Complete housekeeping audits and address any gaps.Responsible for training new employees in department. Manage training packets of new or transferred employees.Provide Direction - Assign tasks to employees based on schedule and targets to safely and efficiently complete the production schedule.Communication - Communicate team needs in a timely and professional manner internally and across departments, shifts and levels of supervision. Complete written and computer reports such as end of shift reports.Notify supervisors of any safety, performance, operational execution, resourcing issues, incidents or deviations from standard practice.Conduct pre-shift meetings.Reviewing crewing for department, review vacation calendar, and coordinating coverage for other shifts.SAP - Ability to perform necessary inventory and production tasks within SAP.Problem Solving - Assist employees and supervisors solving operational problems.Act as an Emergency Responder for first aid incidents and spill response.Operating, adjusting and monitoring of filling and packaging machines and equipment.Monitors fill weights, checks for proper labeling of cans and labeling of cases. Visual monitoring to ensure that materials are being handled and supplied appropriately to and on the equipment.Evaluates and takes test samples for the lab, including drawdown and color comparisons.

Ability to Lift/Carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to Push/Pull 51 lbs or more.
