Primary Responsibilities:

* Enter prescriptions from intake to order completion and verify member / patient data
* Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices as a liaison for the pharmacy team
* Communicate clearly and concisely via phone and electronic methods to patients, physicians, and other healthcare providers
* Contact patients to complete refill assessments, request payment information, establish delivery details, and set up treatment in the Ambulatory Infusion Suite and/or other outpatient facilities
* Access, input, and retrieve prescription and medical/lab information from computer system
* Verify whether medication is reimbursable, and resolve rejected claims
* Process prescription refills and interpret supply needs as related to various therapies
* Resolve customer issues, ensuring accurate information is provided
* Able to multitask and channel communication from various business partners, driving patient centric quality care
* Follow all State and Federal regulations and Pharmacy Policies and Procedures, adhering to HIPAA and confidentiality code of ethics
* Work within a team to triage and respond to all compounding needs promptly
* Maintain ongoing didactic and practical training related to sterile compounding

Required Qualifications:

* High School Diploma / GED (or higher) OR 4+ years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician
* Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in the State of Ohio
* Intermediate level of proficiency with Windows PC applications including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
* Ability to stand, walk, and lift to 30 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications:

* National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB)
* Previous Home Infusion experience
* Pharmacy/prescription data entry experience
