Sentara CarePlex Hospital located in Hampton, VA is hiring a Registered Nurse, for the Medicine Unit.

Shift: Weekend Days Only

Part-time: 24 hours ( 12 hours shift)

Degree or Diploma from an accredited Registered Nursing Program
* Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program
* Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License

The Medicine Unit - 4 James is looking for qualified nurses who will provide care to acute and chronic care patients with a variety of comorbidities from the age of 18 years of age and up, with a special love for our senior population. We are looking for new grads to seasoned nurses, who are compassionate, dependable, flexible and hardworking. As a Registered Nurse with Sentara, you can excel in your career. The Registered Nursing (RN) is responsible to perform a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. Critical Care/IMCU ACLS within 1 year of hire; Emergency Care - ACLS & PALS or ENPC within 1 year of hire; Oncology Care ONS/ONCC or Sentara approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire. Women's Care - Perinatal departments; Inpatient Pediatrics. All Direct Care RN's required to have BLS within 90 days of hire.

N-2YR - RN-Associate's Degree (Required), N-3YR - RN-Diploma (Non-degree) (Required), N-4YR - RN-Bachelor's Level Degree (Required), N-6YR - RN-Master's Level Degree (Required), N-DN - RN-Doctorate Level Degree
