Infection Prevention/Wound Nurse LPN/RN Opportunity

Paris Health and Rehab Center is looking for a Infection Preventionist/Wound Nurse LPN/RN to join our growing team

If you have a passion for helping others and want to work for a skilled nursing facility that treats their employees like family, we would love to hear from you Paris Health and Rehab Center is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse to join our expanding staff of caregivers at our skilled nursing facility in Paris, IL You will support our residents and work hand-in-hand with our already wonderful team of compassionate and enthusiastic caregivers.

Your Job
Assessing complex patient wounds when they develop or when patients are admitted
Cleaning patient wounds to remove bacteria and debris and minimize the risk of infection
Dressing patient wounds to create a barrier against bacteria
Determining appropriate treatment to help wounds heal, such as regular cleaning, antibiotics, hyperbaric oxygen therapy or surgery
Teaching patients and caregivers how to treat and dress wounds to assist healing and prevent infection after discharge.
Giving verbal instruction and writing down a care plan for patients to follow at home
Completing paperwork for patient records and insurance reimbursement
Completion of Risk Assessments pertaining to Infection Control
Conduct ongoing staff development, training and quality assurance performance improvement monitoring to insure adherence with the organizational standards, professional guidelines, state, and federal regulations.
Provide nursing care within your scope of practice.
Possess reliable transportation and the ability to be on time for assigned shifts.
Work cooperatively with healthcare team members to maintain established standards of care.
Maintain the self-respect, personal dignity, and physical safety of each resident.
Maintain accurate documentation of all care rendered.
Encourage restorative care to obtain maximum resident independence.
