Here, no two days or projects are alike, which means you’ll have a lot to learn and plenty of support to help you succeed.We are currently hiring a consultant with specialized expertise working with academic medical centers/academic health systems and universities to advance their academic missions. Required knowledge areas include academic partnerships and affiliations, Academic Medical Centers (AMCs)/health systems, faculty practices/academic physician organizations, research planning and operations, medical education (UME, GME, and CME) planning and operations, accreditation-related experience, service line and/or department administration at a medical school or health system, and medical school finance and administration.Your Responsibilities May IncludeAnalyzing, synthesizing, and interpreting data to inform client recommendations.Using financial modeling to conduct in-depth analyses and recommend executable strategies.Conducting stakeholder interviews.Leading information‑gathering efforts.Assisting in developing and managing work plans, schedules, and budgets.Drafting project analyses and deliverables.Communicating project progress and seeking input.Developing depth of technical expertise.Identifying follow‑on opportunities and helping scope and close such engagements.Assisting in the design and implementation of recommended solutions.Working closely with multiple project teams and ECG senior consulting leaders.Taking responsibility for project outcomes.Communicating effectively with management and executive‑level client staff.Learning about ECG’s breadth of solutions and identifying those that reflect personal and professional interests.Participating in peer and junior staff knowledge development and career advancement.Demonstrating the ability to excel at consulting while balancing work and personal life.Acting as an ECG ambassador within personal, professional, and alumni networks.Our Expectations of YouStrong knowledge of and passion for the healthcare industryMaster’s degree in business administration and/or in a health‑related fieldPrior relevant experience in the academic healthcare space (2+ years of applicable experience for consultant level; 3+ years of progressive experience for senior consultant level)Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsProven track record of solving complex problems and completing challenging projectsDemonstrated diagnostic, analytical, and quantitative skillsTrack record of strong client serviceDemonstrated career progression with increasing responsibilitiesStrong written and verbal presentation skillsAbility to travel at least 60% of the time, with flexibility to meet client needsJob LocationsBoston, San Diego, or AtlantaHybrid work schedule, with a minimum of two days per week in office when not traveling for a client engagementScheduleFull time/exemptWhat You Can Expect of UsTo reward our driven, innovative, and passionate employees, we’ve built a company culture that’s centered on performance. It represents a good‑faith estimate of the range that ECG reasonably expects to pay at the time of the job posting. The actual salary paid will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to years of experience, special skills, and market changes. This job is eligible to participate in ECG’s annual incentive compensation program, which reflects ECG’s pay‑for‑performance philosophy.
