Promotes evidenced based practice and ongoing improvement and effectively promotes productive provider practices through collaboration. Required Education Master's Degree Recommended Education Doctoral Degree Required Work Experience Occupational Therapy - 4 years with 1 year of leadership experience Recommended Work Experience Required Certifications Occupational Therapist, Registered (OTR) - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT), Occupational Therapist (OT) License - Arkansas State Medical Board Recommended Certifications Description Provides leadership, management, direction, training and guidance for staff and day-to-day clinic/service operations. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery and rules of accrediting bodies by continually monitoring the service and facility operations and programs and initiating required changes or improvements and fostering environment for reporting and appropriate follow‑up on occurrences and near misses Use project management skills to establishing and maintaining project timelines and monitoring of progress suggesting and recommending innovative alternative solutions for problems increasing patient safety and quality outcomes. Collaborates with the director to develop and maintain departmental staffing plans based on volumes, anticipated workload, skill mix and competency requirement Foster effective communication colloboration, and accountability between clinical staff, team, and other departments. Hires, direct coaches and monitors the performance of all direct reports, to develop and maintain a high performance team that meets organizational and department goals. Manages performance by assessing staff competency and providing constructive feedback on initial hire, on an ongoing basis and during annual performance appraisals. Assists in the development of policies/procedures/practices to ensure capture of all charges in accurate and timely manner. Assists the Director in developing, implementing, and evaluating quality improvement activities to assure the on-going quality of patient care or support services. Manages department expenses and resource utilization to achieve budget and productivity goals.
