Assist sales and program management team with domestic customer calls by fielding and answering technical issues and questions. Provide oversight of the mechanical design with limited supervision. Scope of work regularly includes: defining requirements, creating CAD concepts, creating specifications, reviewing designs, performing analysis (tolerance stack, simulation, mechanical calculations), troubleshooting failures, identifying design improvements, attending and participating in internal and customer meetings, preparing and reviewing technical reports. Construct prototypes; evaluate and document their performance; identify improvements. Explore new and existing design concepts and methods to solve design challenges. Establish a culture of learning, openness, and accountability. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in mechanical engineering with more than 3 years of experience in electronics design and manufacturing in the consumer, telecom, automotive, medical, and/or military industries. Prior experience working with overseas development teams. Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills for working with multidisciplinary teams. Prior customer-facing experience such as Field Application Engineering, Application Engineering, Technical Marketing. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements. Technical experience with the design and manufacturing of plastic injection‑molded parts. Strong understanding of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and project management methodologies. Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and organizational skills. Ability to travel both domestically and internationally. 25% or less travel.
