Key Responsibilities Manage daily operations of the Wellness Centers at the Summit and Berkeley Heights branches, ensuring consistency in quality, service, and safety. Lead by example—spend at least 50% of your time on the wellness floor engaging members and supporting staff. Train, schedule, and supervise wellness staff across both locations. Maintain equipment, cleanliness, and organization of all wellness areas. Coordinate member engagement initiatives such as fitness challenges, orientations, and special events. Address member concerns promptly and professionally. Collaborate with program directors and branch leadership to support YMCA wellness programming. Salary & Benefits This full‑time, non‑exempt position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week, typically Monday–Friday during standard business hours, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities. The salary range is $23.00 – $28.00 per hour, based on experience. Qualifications Minimum of two years of previous experience in a fitness/wellness role. Associate’s degree in a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education/certification and/or experience. Effective communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology. Strong computer skills. CPR/AED certification. Demonstrated maturity and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
