Be a part of a development team building out the next generation of business intelligence and support tools for Fidelity Capital Markets. As a backend developer you will utilize your technical skills to deliver critical applications.

The Team

The FCM Business Intelligence team is unique within Capital Markets by supporting executive leadership and every business unit within. Applications owned by this team support client onboarding and management, trade analysis, commission calculation, and financial reporting.

The Expertise You Have


  • BS in Computer Science or Information Systems
  • 15 years of experience in application development or software engineering
  • Oracle certification


The Skills You Bring


  • You will be proficient in traditional database skills and technologies like Linux, Oracle, SQL, PL/SQL, Java, relational design, recoverability, ETL, data modelling, and performance tuning.
  • You will be proficient in providing technical solutions using Python and demonstrable ability to improve existing functionality.
  • You will have strong practical working experience with Unix Shell scripting.
  • You will have experience using development and team tools such as Jira, GIT, Jenkins, and Udeploy
  • You will be familiar with Institutional and Capital Markets products such as prime brokerage, fixed income, and equities
  • Within this space, you will have related experience to trade operations and post trade analysis, profit/loss analysis, customer relationship management, and compliance/supervisory reporting
  • You will have experience working in Scrum Agile and Agile@Scale product development environments
  • You will be comfortable collaborating with business product owners, end users, and other technology teams
  • Most importantly, you will be nimble and able to adapt to new technologies and trends.

Dynamic Working

At Fidelity TalentSource, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we call “Dynamic Working.” Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity location for at least one week, 5 consecutive days, every four weeks. These requirements are subject to change.
