Employee Health | Staff RN

Key Responsibilities:
* Program Development and Administration:
* Develop and administer efficient and professional operations of occupational and employee health services in accordance with Gritman Medical Center's policies and applicable regulations.
* Create innovative health and safety programs tailored to the organization's workforce and environment.
* Employee Health Services:
* Provide direct care services, including vaccinations, screenings, and blood titers.
* Assist new hires and contracted employees with onboarding health requirements and annual vaccinations.
* Guide injured employees through the Workers' Compensation process until they are able to return to work.
* Collaboration and Consultation:
* Work with client companies and collaborate with external resources such as healthcare providers, insurance companies, third-party administrators, legal advisors, and state industrial commissions.
* Promote an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare and advocate for cost-effective health and safety measures.
* Regulatory Compliance:
* Oversee and educate staff on compliance with regulatory requirements related to employee health matters.
* Ensure adherence to OSHA and CDC guidelines and Gritman Medical Center policies.
* Record Keeping and Documentation:
* Secure and develop records and programs related to occupational and employee health services.
* Maintain accurate documentation of all employee health activities and interventions.
* Committee Participation:
* Serve as a permanent member of the Safety Committee and the Infection Prevention Sub-Committee.
* Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Nurse/Officer, Infectious Disease Physician, Emergency Department Physicians, Public Health officials, and regulatory agencies.
Qualifications:
* Education:
* Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
* Licenses and Certifications:
* Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Idaho or compact state.
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
* Experience:
* Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
* Background in Employee Health and Occupational Health is desired but not required.
* Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
* Knowledge of treating and reporting communicable diseases.
* Proficient in administering vaccinations and understanding healthcare requirements.
* Ability to perform clinical skills such as immunizations, screenings, and blood titers.
* Familiarity with OSHA and CDC requirements.
* Knowledge of Workers' Compensation regulations and processes.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding role.
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Background in Employee Health and Occupational Health.
* Occupational Health Certification.
Functional Demands:
* Population Served:
* Employees, volunteers, students, interns, EMS personnel, physicians, public, vendors, and community-contracted companies.
* Physical Demands:
* Ability to lift up to 20 pounds.
* Frequent fine motor skills required for computer use and administering immunizations/titers.
* Extended periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
* Environmental Conditions:
* Work primarily conducted in a clinical office environment.
* Some duties performed in clinical settings.
