Job Responsibilities

THIS IS A TEMPORARY, PART-TIME POSITION

Assist with all Hall of Fame administrative processes; including museum collection cataloging and data entry.

Assist in promoting the security of the building and collection by monitoring activities of visitors to Hall of Fame; including walk-in visitors and auditorium usage.

Provide back-up assistance for full-time staff in times of absence such as annual and sick leave.

Assist with collection management and exhibit maintenance/installation.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

State Minimum Requirements - A high school diploma. Related clerical experience may be substituted for a high school diploma.

Agency Minimum Requirements
A high school diploma and work experience directly related to office administration or museum management.

Additional Requirements

General knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Word and Excel. General knowledge of South Carolina and/or law enforcement history. Ability to learn specialized museum database program and museum cataloging procedures. Ability to work well with the general public and law enforcement community.

Employee receives direct supervision for all administrative and museum collection related tasks. At times employee may be required to work independently.

This position requires a high degree of flexibility and willingness to support all activities of the Hall of Fame. Employee must show personal responsibility relative to the security of the building and its contents. Employee must be able to work closely with other employees and may be required to work alone for periods of time. Employee must be able to climb stairs and carry small loads.
