Prepares food orders accurately and in a timely fashion in a high volume and fast-paced kitchen. Assists with running the kitchen line. Ensures an excellent guest experience and helps ensure the kitchen remains clean, organized, and in compliance with sanitation requirements.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management
- Keeps work area clean, sanitary, and orderly including the preparation area, serving lines and all equipment
- Uses clear, concise, and specific lines of communication between management and associates
- Ensures that all food is received, stored, and prepared according to company standards
- Ability to perform basic cooking procedures including the ability to read, follow and prepare recipes
- Understanding of cooking methods, proper techniques, and knife handling skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
- Able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- 1 year or more cooking experience preferred with working knowledge of restaurant equipment
- Must be friendly and willing to work in a team environment
